1.The authors of my book, Marked, are P.C. Cast + Kristin Cast. These authors have written a total of 6 books together,That includes the whole, 6 book, House of night series. P.C. has wrote a couple other books. One of those books, is called Divine by choice, she is planning on writing another book called Goddess of Camelot.
2.This book is about a girl named Zoey, and she is in high school. Zoey has a boyfriend named Heath, and a best friend named Kayla, until the inexplicable happens...She becomes a vampyre. Then her friends and family, which isn't surprising for her since her mom got married to Jhon, all turned against her and made it seem like she was some kind of monster in her. The only one Zoey could trust now was her grandma redbird. She is terribly sick and she needs to get to the house of night as soon as possible. Zoey ends up fainting on her way to her grandmother, she wakes up in the house of night with no more throat wrenching sickness.
3. The setting in this book, i think is in the 1960s. I think this because, in the book everyone is terrified of vampyres, now everyone loves them. Back then people were all against witches and anything super natural. Obviously they aren't real creatures, but i do think the time period that the authors chose was the 1960s. The atmosphere of this book i would say is dark, and/or sorrowful. I think dark because vampyers and supernatural stuff is just a weird and scary thing, which i presume as dark. Sorrowful because, this is just a bad thing to happen to such a young innocent girl who hasn't don't anything bad to anyone, except her step-father. This book takes place in a high school, Zoeys and her grandmothers home, and the house of night.
4. I would say the main character in this book would be Zoey...i think this because Zoey has been Marked by this weird coven, which everyone knows as vampyres, and she has to figure out what exactly they are all about. This is because she is now one of them, and she wants to know if the rumors are true, which is that everyone thinks they are evil and weird. Students find it easy to pick them out because they are apparently the 'emo' kids. Also, the titles of the books in this series make me think that each book is a different stage that Zoey must go through to continue her journey in the house of night. One trait that i think that Zoey has that is important in this book are her ability to get through bad situations calmly, i think this because she will be going through hard times throughout the entire series. For example when she was first marked she was not that scared, she was just upset that everyone around her was freaking out. Another trait that i think Zoey has is how she can think of solutions quick, for example when her mom and step father had her stay in her room untill some important people arrived to fix her, she figured out a way to get out of the house without her parents knowing.
5.So far i think this book is so good. I like supernatural books because whatever i read i know it really isn't true, and i like the fact that the story has not really happened to anybody. It also is fun to read because it opens my imagination. The only thing i dislike about this book would be that i don't have a lot of time to read it, because it is so good that i want to read it non stop until i am done and then read the rest of the series.
